Rez is a Corporate Development, M&A, and Financial Management executive with over 30 years of global experience applying his expertise to add value to clients across a wide spectrum of industries and development stages.
He possesses hands-on experience leading multidisciplinary deal teams in sourcing, analyzing, structuring, and executing Corporate M&A, Private Equity, and Corporate Venture Capital transactions, having successfully participated in a number of private and public transactions with a combined value of $5.0+ billion across 100+ closed deals with a transaction value range of $15 million for comparatively small acquisition of a private company to $3.5 billion for a highly complex acquisition of a US publicly-traded company. 
In addition to M&A and Private Equity experience, he also has hands-on CFO experience having implemented financial management processes and systems in high-growth companies as well as in post-bankruptcy turnaround financial restructurings.
Prior to founding Athena Associates, he worked at several leading global financial institutions such as: GE Capital, JP Morgan, Paribas, and Barclays Bank  in the US, Europe and Asia, as well as at Cox Enterprises, a top-10 largest privately-owned company in the US. 
He holds a Bachelor of Science degree (with honors) in Engineering from the University of Glasgow, UK, and a Master of Business Administration degree (with honors) from Emory University, US. He is also a UK Chartered Management Accountant (ACMA.)
